ABOUT MARGARET & FIRST PRINCIPLES COACHING
FIRST PRINCIPLES COACHING - how I got started
I came to Cycling Coaching after many years working as a lawyer, and in leadership roles in the Commonwealth public sector. While working full time I cycled for fun and personal challenge & enjoyed some racing at Club level, in State and National level Masters Games, and at State Cycling championships too. I continue to enjoy competing with a particular interest in Individual Time Trials & Road Racing too.
I set up First Principles Coaching (FPC) in August 2014 to coach “She Rides” programs. In 2015 I gained my Level 1 Cycling Coach accreditation and left the legal profession too. Since leaving law I have worked with recreational cycling athletes of all ages and abilities, mostly with women under the “She Rides” banner.
As you’ll see below under the heading “Ride & Train with First Principles Coaching” my coaching remit & scope has changed from February 2025.

RIDE & TRAIN with First Principles Coaching
One on One Coaching
From this month, February 2025, I am not taking any new one-on-one clients for riding outdoors. I will continue to work with my current outdoors one-on-one clients whom I’ve made arrangements with already.
Another option is to join me in an indoors class @ Echelon Cycling Studio where we can cover off important skills like position on the bike, pedalling & breathing etc & build cycling fitness too. For more information about Echelon Cycling Studio in general please check out https://echeloncycling.com.au
If you'd like more info about my classes in particular please contact me using the Get-In-Touch form below
GROUP Training:
I collaborate with Adelaide Hills Cycling Club (AHCC) in providing a couple of options for women to ride in an AHCC group. I am an ongoing full member of AHCC & a Club sponsor too. You’ll see more information about these options in following link to the Club page titled AHCC Women.
That link has information about how to contact me but if you’d prefer you can use get-in-touch form below instead.
